The Isle of Arran is often referred to as “Scotland in miniature”, and is divided into the “Highland” and “Lowland” areas by the Highland Boundary Fault which draws tourists and geologists in droves. This view features Goatfell, the highest point at 2,866ft, along with the profile of the “Sleeping Warrior”, which can be seen on the horizon resembling a resting figure with helmet and crossed arms.
