Highland Heather Necklace from In The Heather
A lovely hand picked Highland heather necklace, collected from beloved blousy heather fields of Northern Scotland.
Perfectly pink and perfectly preserved, this tiny pendant contains just a sprig of real Scottish heather. Each year in September when the Highland's come alive with the merry color of the heather bloom, the best sprigs of heather are collected. Each sprig is carefully separated, quality checked and divided into blushing tones of pink before being preserved. Once fully cured, the pendant is then filed to shape and polished to a high shine before being dripped onto a sterling silver chain to highlight its ethereal beauty.
These delicate flowers are hand picked, then pressed and lovingly preserved in crystal clear resin. Since each piece of jewelry is unique and can never be replicated identically, you not only own a piece of wearable art but you also own a tiny part of Scotland. How nice is that! A special Scottish gift which will be long treasured.

Independent designer Laura, is Scotland's leading flower preservation specialist. Inspired by Scotland’s biodiversity and the beauty of each individual area, Laura created Botanic Isles in 2016. She collects flowers from all over Scotland including Fife, Isle of Arran, Ayrshire, Edinburgh, Perthshire and Glasgow. All of Laura's jewelry is ECO friendly, waste free and 100% sustainable as she plants more flowers than she collects. Each flower she collects is carefully stored in her botanical library, organised by location and date, before being made into her signature jewelry. Her unique preservation method ensures that once the flowers are being cast within our eco friendly resin, they will not wilt, decay or discolor with time. Each piece is a tiny microcosm of nature to be treasured for generations.
