Majestically captured, this beautiful chess set is a story about the birth of a nation and its people. The main pieces are represented by some of ‘The Great and The Good’ characters from Scotland’s past. It is only fitting that Robert the Bruce represents the King and Mary Queen of Scots represents the Queen. Other favorites are John Knox as the Bishop and Sir William Wallace as the Knight. Together they tell a story of tragedy, vision, pride, renaissance and leadership.

The exquisite detail of the design is brought to life by careful development of a silicon mold and a unique staining and polishing technique which emphasizes the fine detail in the original design. It is then further stained to add an antique effect. This results in an aged beautiful set that is eye catching and really stands out. The pieces are well weighted with an improved ratio of crushed marble and resin. Each one is then finished off with the application of a protective base and presented in a beautiful yet practical packaging. Individually, each piece is a delight to behold, finely detailed and beautifully balanced.
